Our mission is to keep riders safe by giving them the skills to control their ride.
Sgt. Anthony Flores, Program Coordinator
What We Do: Ride to Live is intended to provide motorcycle operators with skills to avoid or minimize collisions while operating on the roadway. The course, taught by certified motor officers, focuses on the same riding techniques used by police motor officers every day. The class is 7 hours of “hands-on” motorcycle training, presented in one day, with lunch provided. If you have a desire to challenge your riding skills and increase your safety on the road, register now.
Where We Ride: Our classes are typically held at the beach front parking lot of Silver Strand State Beach, located at 5000 CA-75, Coronado, CA 92118
Requirements: The Ride to Live training is an advanced course and not recommended for new riders. Participants must have a valid motorcycle license, supply their own motorcycle, and their own safety equipment. Proof of auto insurance is required.
Cost: Ride to Live is 100% free. The class is presented by officers of the Coronado Police Department with funding provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
